Work began on adapting nursery space at our location within the historic Old Butter Factory in Gloucester back in 2021. What started as a modest setup soon began to take shape: first with the construction of a shade house, followed shortly after by the installation of a greenhouse tunnel.
In the early days, we focused on purchasing 140mm pot stock and growing plants on for use in our landscaping projects. But it wasn’t long before a deeper passion for the growing process began to take root. This love for plants was no coincidence – Joel’s first job was in a local plant nursery, followed by time spent working at one of the largest wholesale nurseries in New South Wales. It was there he gained valuable insight into the yearly and seasonal rhythms of a fully operational nursery.

Like any new venture, our journey has involved plenty of trial and error – from refining our potting mixes to learning the ideal timing for pruning or propagation, each challenge has helped build our practical knowledge and deepen our understanding of what it takes to grow healthy, vigorous plants. As the nursery grew, so too did our commitment to doing things well. That’s why we made the decision to employ a full-time horticulturalist to oversee plant health, guide our propagation efforts and help the entire operation thrive.

Over time, we’ve honed our focus, specialising in trees and hedging varieties that are perfectly suited to our local climate and conditions. This includes a curated selection of native and exotic species that not only thrive in Gloucester but also add lasting value to our clients’ gardens and landscapes.
Today, we’re proud to produce quality plants that reflect the care, knowledge and passion we bring to our work – especially for the local community of Gloucester and the wider MidCoast region.
