Joel – Founder & Director
With over 15 years in the industry, Joel’s journey started with an Advanced Diploma of Design at Enmore TAFE in 2006. He built experience in nurseries, landscaping, and even had a stint in the props department at Fox Studios before discovering his true passion for landscaping.
After fully transforming a property during a maintenance role in Western Sydney, Joel launched Gloucester Landscapes with nothing more than a single-cab Ford Courier, he worked hard to achieve his certificate in landscape construction.
Today, he’s proud to lead a fully equipped team, delivering high-quality landscaping across the region.
Lucas – Apprentice-Turned-Leader
Lucas joined us in 2019 at just 16, after helping with a project at Barrington Street Preschool. He soon started his apprenticeship and has grown into a leadership role, now tackling the day-to-day challenges of onsite management.
Lucas is also a proud Gloucester Magpies rugby league player and spends his downtime on the water in Tuncurry or dreaming of a lap around Australia in his decked-out ute.
Josh – Machinery Maestro & Apprentice
Josh, 25, is our third apprentice and quickly made himself at home on the team. Now studying at Taree TAFE, he’s developed a strong skill set across a wide range of tasks – particularly excelling in excavator operations.
Calm, capable, and always dependable, Josh brings quiet confidence to every job.
When he’s not on site, he’s usually out camping, riding his motorcycle, or spending time with his partner.
Mitch – Young Gun with a Bright Future
Mitch started with us while still at Gloucester High, completing a traineeship one day a week. After finishing Year 10 in 2024, he came on board full-time as our fourth apprentice.
Mitch is thriving in the role and proving himself both independently and as part of the team.
A keen footy player for the Forster Tuncurry Hawks, he also loves fishing at Scotts Head and chasing the next big catch.
Brad – Maintenance All-Rounder
Brad joined our maintenance crew in 2024 and quickly discovered a passion for outdoor work. From lawns to gutters and everything in between, Brad shows up each day with a great attitude and pride in his work.
Reliable, personable, and trusted by our regular clients, he’s also a valued fill-in on landscaping jobs when needed.
Outside of work, Brad plays soccer for the Gloucester senior men’s team and volunteers with the local radio station.
Deborah – Operations Manager & Maintenance Lead
Joel’s wife and the ultimate Jill-of-all-trades, Deborah brings an incredible range of skills to Gloucester Landscapes. With a Cert IV in Fitness and a background as a personal trainer and practice manager for a cosmetic surgeon, she now handles everything behind the scenes – from bookings and bills to client calls and admin.
But Deborah isn’t just in the office – she runs our property maintenance division alongside Brad. You’ll often see her driving the ute and trailer, getting her hands dirty in the garden, or up on the roof (with her working-at-heights ticket) cleaning out gutters.
Outside the business, Deborah wears many hats across the community. She’s a casual phlebotomist at the local pathology, a retained firefighter with Fire & Rescue NSW (Station 303 Gloucester), and a proud member of the Gloucester SES. Her dedication to helping others and constant drive to learn more make her an irreplaceable part of our team.
